Port Augusta Aboriginal Art Mob (PA Art Mob) is a strong, artist-led collective grounded in culture, community and shared creative practice. The PA Art Mob is guided by the leadership of Marion Baker, Tanya Brady, Lipsey Whisky, Mona Whisky, Jason Koko and Christine Lennon, whose experience, cultural authority and commitment continue to shape the direction and values of the art centre.
These leaders are joined by Anita Kenny, Kamarin Mitakiki, Lee Mitakiki, Philip Windy, Kayleen James and Loraine James amongst many others, forming a growing and dynamic group of artists working across generations, styles and cultural perspectives. Together, the members of Port Augusta Aboriginal Art Mob are building a reputation for diversity, innovation and bold contemporary art making, while remaining deeply connected to culture, Country and community.
Through collaboration, mentorship and experimentation, the Por Augusta Aboriginal Art Mob is creating work that speaks both locally and nationally. It contributes to a strong and evolving Aboriginal arts presence in Port Augusta, marked bycommitted leadership, emerging talent and a shared vision for growth.
