The APYACC and its member organisations support over 500 artists in art centres across the APY Lands, regional South Australia and Adelaide. These art centres offer a rare source of non-government income for Aboriginal people across South Australia and offer real jobs and employment opportunities for people of all ages. These art centres are places where culture is both celebrated and carefully instructed by Elders to younger generations on a daily basis. Elders know that culturally affirming employment and its independent income is the best way to tackle disadvantage. At the very core of the APYACC model is providing young people- the future generations- with a platform and the tools for a better life in Aboriginal communities across South Australia. All donations to the APYACC help realise the vision of APY Elders through our ongoing programming and support.
